Azeotropy

In thermodynamic it is the point (temperature, pressure) at which compositions in the liquid and vapour phases are the same!!! It could be seen like a minimum o maximum in a Pressure composition diagram, at fixed temperature (or in a temperature-composition diagram at fixed pressure). It represents the limit of separation of a mixture by conventional distillation, so it is very important to determinate it accurately. We are improving the methodology to determinate azeotropic points in over all range of temperature using different equations of state like SRK, CPA, vdW or SAFT-type equations.
